If you’ve just recently purchased your first iPhone and want to see what makes this phone so great, it’s no secret that it’s the applications. There are applications for just about anything from music to productivity to games.

To get you started on the most practical and useful apps for any beginner, here are a few of my most useful (and used) ones. (Descriptions are from the iTunes App Store)

Pandora

Pandora Radio is your own free personalized radio now available to stream music on your iPhone or iPad. Just start with the name of one of your favorite artists, songs or classical composers and Pandora will create a “station” that plays their music and more music like it.
