If you’ve just recently purchased your first iPhone and want to see what makes this phone so great, it’s no secret that it’s the applications. There are applications for just about anything from music to productivity to games.
To get you started on the most practical and useful apps for any beginner, here are a few of my most useful (and used) ones. (Descriptions are from the iTunes App Store)
Pandora
Pandora Radio is your own free personalized radio now available to stream music on your iPhone or iPad. Just start with the name of one of your favorite artists, songs or classical composers and Pandora will create a “station” that plays their music and more music like it.
Shazam
Lovin’ that tune? Shazam is the quickest and easiest way to discover more about music. Just hold your phone up to the song to identify the track, buy it, check out the videos, get the lyrics, share it with friends – and more!
Evernote
Evernote for iPhone lets you create notes, snap photos, and record voice memos that you can then access any time from your iPhone, computer, or the web.
Wunderlist
Free and easy-to-use task manager. No matter what needs to be done, from shopping lists to projects and todos – there is Wunderlist to manage it all.
FeeddlerRSS
A fast and highly customizable Google Reader client that stays perfect sync with Google and presents RSS stories in a clean interface. Feeddler is a universal app that supports iPhones, iPod touches and iPads. The free version is supported by banner ads.

Find iPhone
