I was just thinking about how YouTube is the second largest search engine on the web and that Google owned it. I took a look back at the YouTube purchase price ($1.65 Billion) compared to the Instagram purchase by Facebook ($1 Billion) and the more recent Twitter acquisition of Vine ($30 Million).
How Do You Feel About These Social Media Acquisitions?
I don’t really know what these numbers mean compared to each other, I’m certainly no analyst of this sort of thing. But I did find it interesting to look at the numbers comparatively. Personally, I’d say Google’s purchase of YouTube was the best in terms of value and product.
